In this 2d/3d project we will be making content, curating, designing and building a compact travelling exhibition to go on tour early in 2025. Aimed at a non-specialist audience, it will use accessible, engaging and ingenious methods to introduce visitors to the individuals and stories behind a new co-operative housing project, currently on site in Killesberg and funded by Stuttgarter KlimaInnovationsfonds.

This is an unusual and important show. The project acts as a prototype for future sustainable housing yet its audience, the general public, probably know very little about design and its impact on the environment. Focusing on the personal – on the people behind the project – might well be the best way in. A research phase will therefore include meeting all the stakeholders involved: the members of the co-operative – individuals, couples, families – their architects, project manager as well as representatives of the KlimaInnovationsfond. To communicate their many and varied stories any choice of media can be considered: architectural drawings, diagrams or models, zines, mappings, interviews, films, apps, infographics, illustration, publications, supergraphics. Speculative scenarios will propell these into the future.

Alongside developing a narrative and relevant outputs to communicate with a lay public, we will be working with you to develop the exhibition structure and identity. The exhibition name and choice of locations is also part of this project.

The studio language will be English and German. The language of the exhibition will be German. Participation in a joint study trip to Vienna is optional.

The project is supported by Stuttgarter KlimaInnovationsfond.
