Completion requirements

ABK Stuttgarts provides students with a multifunctional student ID card called AKArt. It is fitted with the following functions:

Studierendenausweis
  • Student ID with name, photo, registration number and validity period..
  • Cashless payment in cafeterias as well as for other services provided by the Studierendenwerk (e.g. for washing machines in dormitories, snack and beverage vending machines, copying/printing at other universities and libraries, etc.). Find the self-service terminal in the hall of building E (Neubau 1) of Campus Weißenhof (intermediate level).
  • Printing and copying on campus: access to ABK’s print management system (PaperCut), see ABK Website.


AKArt is only valid in combination with a user photo. New Students usually upload their photo via the application portal during the online enrolment process. Programme students send their photo via email to the Student Admission Office. Please contact the Admission Office or the International Office for further information.
